Aftercare

1.    Second Skin: Keep it on for 3-4 days. Avoid intense exercise or sweating to prevent it from peeling off.
2.    Cleaning: Remove the second skin in the shower with warm water. Gently wash the tattoo with mild, fragrance-free soap, and pat it dry with a clean, soft towel—don’t rub.
3.    Moisturize: Apply a thin layer of cocoa butter or tattoo balm 2-3 times daily for 2-3 weeks to keep the area hydrated.
4.    Avoid:
•    Sun exposure: Keep the tattoo out of direct sunlight. Use SPF after healing.
•    Water immersion: No swimming, baths, hot tubs, or saunas until fully healed. Showers are fine.
•    Picking or scratching: Don’t touch or peel any scabs or flakes, as it can cause scarring or uneven healing.

Follow these steps for the best healing and vibrant results!

I recommend cocoa butter for the cream. You should be able to get it in any pharmacy:

Aftercare Timeline

day 1-3

day 4

leave the second skin on for 3-4 days. It is waterproof so you can shower without worrying about it.

Remove the second skin in the shower, peeling it gently. If you run some warm water on it it should melt the adhesive and make it a bit easier to remove. Once the second skin is off, shower like normal and wash the tattoo gently. There will be ink and plasma on the area; don't worry its totally normal. The body rejects a portion of the ink and there will be some bleeding that is trapped under the film. I recommend using antibacterial handsoap or something non scented like the Dove white bar of soap (this is what I personally use).

Soap the area gently and make sure the tattoo is clean before coming out the shower. Do not over wash and stay in the shower for an extended period.

Dry the tattoo by patting it dry with kitchen towel and apply a thin layer of cream.

days 4-14

Cream the tattoo 2x a day every day for around 2 weeks. The longer the better (just a thin layer, you dont want to drown the tattoo in cream).

Avoid: Long showers, bath, sauna, steam room, swimming (anything thats going to soak the tattoo) for 2 weeks. Also be careful with direct sun exposure as sunlight will always age the tattoo but more so in the early stages of the healing process.

do not scratch, pick, peel, or interfere with the tattoo (it will itch quite alot when its healing, it may scab and it will peel). The best thing to do is to just cream it and keep it clean. Picking and scratching can mess with the healing process.
